Bob Hogue Sales Associate Practice Exam

When a broker's license is suspended or revoked, the sales associate associated with that broker is placed on involuntary inactive status. This means that the sales associate can no longer conduct real estate transactions, as they are insufficiently supervised and affiliated with a broker who is no longer licensed to operate. This regulation is in place to protect consumers and maintain the integrity of the real estate industry by ensuring that all transactions are conducted under the supervision of a licensed broker.

Being placed on involuntary inactive status indicates that the sales associate must take steps to either reinstate their affiliation with a licensed broker or determine another course of action, such as waiting until the broker's license is reinstated or finding a new broker. This helps maintain accountability and ensures that all real estate practitioners are acting within the legal framework established for the profession.
